10 Tribal Youths Embark on Drone Pilot Training Journey for Sustainable Farming

Ten tribal youths from Rando village are embarking on a transformative journey to Hyderabad for drone pilot training. This initiative is part of the CSR project Unnat Krishi, a collaboration between Central Coalfields Limited (CCL) and Nidhi Samriddhi Foundation. Upon completion, these young individuals will receive Remote Pilot Certificates (RPCs) and drones to facilitate fertilizer spraying, making farming easier and safer.

The selected youths, hailing from various indigenous communities, were chosen based on their qualifications and performance in a written examination. The first batch comprises six young tribal farmers who will undergo training adhering to DGCA regulations. The Foundation's Executive Director, Suraj Kumar Sinha, highlighted that farmers are embracing modern methods to tackle climate change, with Unnat Krishi being at the forefront of this drive. Once trained, each youth will earn Rs 500 for spraying fertilizers per acre of land.

This CSR project is not only empowering tribal youths with valuable skills but also promoting sustainable farming practices. With their newfound expertise, these drone pilots will contribute significantly to improving agricultural productivity and safety in their communities.
