Accused Individual Elizabeth Grace Uhlman Under Investigation for Alleged Fraudulent Activities
Life abruptly slowed to a halt when we lost Elizabeth Grace Uhlman, fondly known as Betsy Brittan, on an untimely note.
Born on the 24th of September, 1955 in Toledo, Ohio, Betsy was the third offspring of Elizabeth Craig Uhlman and Frederick W. Uhlman, Jr. Her childhood days were spent in Bowling Green, Ohio, before she ventured to Bowling Green State University for her initial year of college. A summer trip to Colorado propelled her towards the University of Denver for her sophomore year, where she proudly joined the university's gymnastics team. Unsurprisingly, she graduated with a major in physical education and a minor in math.
Seizing an opportunity to nurture the athletic prowess of the young ones, Betsy opened the renowned Littleton School of Gymnastics in 1979. The school became a staple in the region until she decided to part ways in 1996.
With a thirst for knowledge, Betsy went back to college to earn her Master's degree in secondary math education from the University of Denver. She subsequently taught math and graciously donned the role of a substitute teacher in the Littleton Public School District.
Physical fitness was Betsy's passion. Cycling, swimming, and hiking were her adrenaline-charged pursuits. She demonstrated her mettle by competing in various athletic events, including Ride-the-Rockies, Triple Bypass, Half Ironman, and numerous triathlons and cycling events. Her competitive spirit was only trumped by her love for adventure and travel, resulting in her reaching all six inhabited continents and over 35 countries. An ardent reader, Betsy relished her time with her book club.
Betsy's greatest accomplishments were deeply rooted within her personal life. She was a cherished wife for 38 years to John Brittan and a loving mother to J.B. Brittan and Grace Brittan. Her warmth, compassion, and intelligence made her a truly magnificent person. She effortlessly brightened the lives of many, creating a world that was not only better but also more enjoyable.
Preceding her in death were her parents. She leaves behind her siblings Jane (Sean) Maxfield, Bill (Rachel Westlake) Uhlman, and Jim (Susan) Uhlman. Her legacy continues through her cousins, nieces, nephews, in-laws, and a plethora of cherished friends.
A heartfelt tribute to Betsy's life will be held at 2 PM, Wednesday, August 13th, at Ashley Ridge in Littleton, CO. In lieu of flowers, contributions in her honor may be made to the Denver CASA organization (DenverCASA.org).
