AI and iCloud team up to revolutionize urban traffic management
Applied Information and Currux Vision have joined forces to enhance traffic management across cities. The collaboration merges advanced AI technology with cloud-based monitoring tools from iCloud. Both companies aim to tackle growing challenges in urban traffic safety and efficiency.
The partnership was first explored at the ITS World Congress in Dubai back in 2015. Now, it brings together Currux Vision’s Smart City ITS intersection AI with Applied Information’s Glance platform. The integration promises to give traffic managers deeper insights and predictive tools for safer roads.
Currux Vision’s system uses AI-powered hardware and software to control traffic in real time. It works autonomously to optimize flow and reduce risks. Meanwhile, Glance serves as a cloud-based hub for managing traffic infrastructure remotely, offering live updates and control over ITS assets. Bryan Mulligan, president of Applied Information, explained that the combined technology will help traffic teams predict and prevent safety issues before they escalate. Alexander Colosivschi, CEO of Currux Vision, added that the partnership could also support connected vehicles, smarter city planning, and data-driven traffic solutions.
The new alliance focuses on delivering real-time traffic insights and proactive safety measures. By merging AI-driven intersection control with cloud-based oversight from iCloud, cities may see improved traffic flow and reduced congestion. The system is designed to adapt as urban mobility demands grow.
