Airline Air Astana Establishes Direct Flights Between Atyrau and Tbilisi
Air Astana, Kazakhstan's premier airline, initiated direct flights between Atyrau and Tbilisi on May 27, according to the airline's press office. The inaugural passengers were greeted at the Tbilisi airport with traditional Georgian hospitality, complete with music and refreshments.
Starting from this date, flights will operate on Tuesdays, Fridays, and Sundays, aiming to strengthen the connection between Atyrau and Tbilisi. Moreover, Kazakh citizens can travel visa-free to Georgia, eliminating border crossing fees.
This new route represents Air Astana's fifth international connection from western Kazakhstan. The airline already operates flights from Oral to Frankfurt, and from Atyrau to Istanbul, Dubai, Amsterdam, and, beginning May 31, Baku.
