Almaty's 'Caravan of Kindness' Honors Everyday Heroes in New Charity Contest

A new charity competition has been launched in Almaty to celebrate acts of kindness and community support. The 'Caravan of Kindness' event, now in its fourth year, invites individuals and organizations to share inspiring stories of goodwill. Organisers aim to recognise those who tackle social challenges and set positive examples for others.

The Almaty branch of the Regional Communications Service announced the competition this week. It targets individuals and groups who help the needy, excluding entrepreneurs and those receiving state funding. Participants are encouraged to submit stories of compassion, selflessness, and meaningful contributions to society.

Applications will remain open until November 30. Winners will be chosen across seven categories, including 'Asar', 'Tugan Zher', and 'Bala Zhuregi'. Each category highlights different forms of generosity and community service.

Over the past three editions, the competition has honoured 1,247 participants. Many winners came from Almaty, Astana, and Shymkent, reflecting widespread engagement in acts of kindness across the country.

The competition will showcase individuals and organizations making a difference in their communities. Successful entries will be recognised for their dedication to helping others and inspiring positive change. The final selection of winners will follow the submission deadline at the end of November.
