Amit Shah Unveils Ambitious Mahtari Vandan Scheme for Chhattisgarh
Union Home Minister Amit Shah has unveiled ambitious plans for Chhattisgarh. The 'Mahtari Vandan Scheme' will provide monthly financial aid to bank account holders, while every village will gain access to essential services by 2031.
The Mahtari Vandan Scheme, launched by the Chhattisgarh government, aims to empower women. HM Shah recently digitally transferred ₹606.94 crore to 6.5 million beneficiaries. Each recipient will receive monthly instalments, typically on the 10th of every month, directly into their bank accounts.
To ensure no one is left behind, the scheme requires every citizen to have a ration card, Aadhaar card, and a bank account. This will facilitate seamless transactions and track beneficiaries effectively.
By 2031, Chhattisgarh aims to transform its rural landscape. Every village will be equipped with government schools and primary health centres, ensuring quality education and healthcare for all. Additionally, each village will have round-the-clock electricity, boosting accessibility and development.
Under the scheme, each beneficiary will receive five kilograms of free food grains monthly, providing essential nutrition and supporting households.
