Atlanta Airport Train Services Disrupted This Week for Maintenance

Passengers at Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport should expect changes in Amtrak services and runway operations this week and over the weekend. The Amtrak train will undergo maintenance, and overnight shutdowns and 'shuttle mode' operations will affect travel.

Starting Tuesday, the Amtrak train will shut down overnight, from 1 a.m. to 4 a.m., and operate in 'shuttle mode' late at night and early in the morning. This will continue on Wednesday and Thursday. On Tuesday, shuttle mode will run from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m., while on Wednesday and Thursday, it will be in effect from 11 p.m. to 5 a.m. Thursday's shuttle mode will extend until 5 a.m. Friday.

On Thursday, the Domestic Baggage Claim station will close between midnight and 4:30 a.m., requiring all passengers to disembark at Concourse T during this period. This closure is to facilitate maintenance work on the Amtrak train.

The Amtrak maintenance and overnight shutdowns are expected to cause some inconvenience to passengers. Travelers are advised to plan their journeys accordingly and allow extra time for travel. The airport apologizes for any inconvenience caused and thanks passengers for their understanding.
