Summer Shenanigans at Ballermann: The Action Heats Up!

Season kicks off at Ballermann: 'Awesome start' - "Ballerman's newest season commences: "On account of the heat"

Ready those party hats, folks! The famed beach party mile, Ballermann, in Mallorca is primed to kick off its brand new season this weekend. Iconic venues like "Bierkönig" and "Megapark" are all set to start the festivities from Thursday through Sunday.

This season, there's a buzz in the air even before the party has officially begun. Party queen Mia Julia ("Take me home"), one of the biggest stars gracing Bierkönig for 12 years, is set to make her debut at the big competitions during the opening weekend.

Mickie Krause, a Ballermann veteran (54), spilled the tea to the German Press Agency (dpa), sharing, "Never before have I witnessed such a change here." Krause also hinted at a long-standing list that used to prevent artists under contract with Bierkönig or Megapark from joining the competition. This list, though, seems to have vanished without a trace this year.

When the media-shy party temples declined to comment on the matter, Krause remained nonchalant, saying, "It doesn't matter who makes what move; the people's opinion is what matters."

Competition Heats Up

Meanwhile, Isi Glück, a prominent female performer at Megapark, known for tunes like "Delfin" and "Oberteil," thinks the season will see even greater excitement with the new influx of artists. however, she maintains that her performance schedule, timing, and job duties remain unchanged.

Megapark, celebrating its 25th anniversary in May, seems eager to keep its title as top dog of the beach with its fresh roster of talent acquired from Bierkönig, including Oli P., Anna-Maria Zimmermann, and Rumbombe. Recent years have seen Megapark focus on attracting the younger, TikTok-loving crowd by recruiting influencers and DJs.

Shaking Things Up at Bierkönig

The changes at Ballermann may have stirred up some internal turmoil at Bierkönig, with whispers of disloyalty from some corners. Yet, the management has succeeded in re-signing one of their most successful artists of recent years, Julian Sommer ("Close in the plane"). Additionally, Bierkönig will be unveiling a fresh, modern look in part of its area.

Coming Home to Bierkönig: The Prodigal Son Returns

But the most anticipated return to Bierkönig is Ikke Hüftgold ("Big tits, potato salad", "Fuckable"), who was shown the door eight years ago following some controversies. Hüftgold is set to make his comeback at Bierkönig this season.

Bavarian Invasion: Oimara on the Hunt for Ballermann Victory

Bavarian singer-songwriter Oimara, whose infectious hit "Wackelkontakt" ("If I were a piece of furniture, I would be a lamp from the 70s") is already popular, is eyeing a slice of Ballermann's party pie. Initial plans include a live performance at the opening in Bierkönig.

Could Oimara's Tune Conquer Ballermann?

Though Oimara admits that his style may not be completely in sync with Ballermann, he's confident that "Wackelkontakt" will make waves at the party hotspot. His upcoming single "Kunst" takes aim at mainstream success while maintaining a Ballermann-friendly sound.

The Beer King competition will watch Oimara's unique performance with interest, with "Aua im Kopf" singer Tobee remarking, "It's important with these super hits that it's not played to death. 'Wackelkontakt' is a great song, but I'd put its chances as the summer hit with a question mark for now."

What Tunes Will Rule the Mallorca Season?

As the party leaders gear up for a shot at the Ballermann hit of the season, contenders include Isi Glück and Julian Sommer with their catchy, dance-inspiring "Bax Banni," Rumbombe's raucous anti-alcohol anthem ("But whoever doesn't drink is a whore, a whore's son"), and Julian Sommer's "SOS." Even Schlager icon Heino enters the fray, hoping his swinging "Ein Gläschen am Morgen" will strike a chord with the partygoers.

Tourism on the island of Mallorca predicts a record-breaking year for visitors this season. Tobee, who has been noticing the energy building for weeks, concludes, "I think we're facing one of the craziest seasons. Many say, 'It was better back then.' Then I always ask why they still go. 'Because it's awesome.' Well, exactly. And that's the headline."
