Verkhnyaya Pyshma has transformed into a winter wonderland for the New Year celebrations. The city, known as the Copper Capital of the Urals, now sparkles with over 50 festive trees and kilometres of fairy lights. Residents and visitors can enjoy a packed schedule of events, from ice rinks to themed museum tours.

The festivities began on December 20 with the unveiling of the main Christmas tree in Manin Park. A lively entertainment programme accompanied the event, setting the tone for the holiday season.

By December 22, Uspensky Avenue Park had opened its 'Ice Town', named *Russian Folk Fair*. The attraction features intricate ice sculptures and dedicated photo zones, while the park’s iconic *Copper Tree* stands as a symbol of the city’s industrial heritage. On December 29, an ice rink will open in Manin Park, offering skating for all ages. A grand Christmas concert is then planned for January 7, rounding off the celebrations. The city’s museum complex will welcome visitors from January 3 to 11. Special New Year’s activities on January 6 include themed tours and an author’s lecture on jazz culture. Throughout the holidays, cultural venues will host performances and entertainment, ensuring a festive atmosphere across Verkhnyaya Pyshma.

The decorations alone cover more than 33 kilometres of fairy lights, illuminating streets and buildings. With ice rinks, concerts, and museum events, the city has prepared a wide range of activities for locals and tourists alike. The celebrations will continue until mid-January, offering plenty of opportunities to enjoy the winter season.
