Small Village in East Frisia Shines Bright in Advent - Bingumgaste Glows Brighter With 35 Years of Dazzling Holiday Lights

Every Advent, the small village of Bingumgaste lights up with thousands of twinkling decorations. The tradition began over 35 years ago when Anneus Busemann first adorned his home with festive lighting. Since then, the displays have grown bigger and brighter each year.

The tradition started with one resident's idea. Anneus Busemann decided to decorate his house with lighting more than three decades ago. Soon, neighbors followed, and the custom spread across the village.

The village's lighting displays have turned Bingumgaste into a festive destination. The tradition, now in its fourth decade, continues to grow in scale and popularity. Each year, the glowing homes bring warmth and joy to residents and visitors alike.
