Burien will host a free Lunar New Year celebration on February 21, 2023. The event invites everyone to enjoy cultural performances, craft ideas, and educational activities at the Burien Community Center. Organisers aim to bring together people of all backgrounds for a day of renewal and good fortune.

The celebration runs from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., offering a mix of entertainment and learning. Visitors can watch traditional performances and take part in hands-on demonstrations. Craft stations will provide activities for both children and adults, offering a range of my activity options.

Each year, the event draws 10 to 15 cultural groups from the Burien area. Vietnamese, Chinese, Korean, Filipino, and Hmong organisations often take part. The gathering encourages both regular attendees and newcomers to explore Lunar New Year traditions together.

The free event welcomes residents to experience diverse customs and celebrate fresh beginnings. With performances, craft ideas, and educational opportunities, the programme offers something for all ages. No registration or fee is required to attend.
