Chocolate Christmas displays and snowy slopes await in December day trips

Two festive day trips are on offer this December for those looking to enjoy seasonal sights and winter sports. On December 19, a tour to Rute will showcase its famous edible Christmas displays, crafted from over 1,500 kilos of chocolate. Just a week later, a snow trip to Sierra Nevada promises skiing and snowboarding under perfect conditions after recent heavy snowfall.

The first excursion takes place on Friday, December 19, organised by the group El Quinto Pino. Visitors will explore Rute, a town renowned for its elaborate Christmas displays made entirely from chocolate. These include life-size figures, detailed nativity scenes, and even representations of Andalusian processions. Entrance to the displays is included in the trip, with the cost refundable upon purchase.

The Rute tour highlights the creativity of Andalusia’s Christmas traditions, while the Sierra Nevada trip offers an active day in the snow. Both excursions provide structured activities alongside free time to explore, catering to different interests and age groups. Bookings are now open for those wanting to join either event.
