The Tribune Hotel: A Hidden Gem in Rome for Families

Nestled in the heart of Rome, The Tribune is a hidden gem that offers a perfect base for families exploring the Eternal City. Part of the JdV by Hyatt collection, this hotel is located near popular attractions such as Villa Borghese park, Spanish Steps, and Trevi Fountain, and within walking distance of the Colosseum and the Vatican.

The hotel boasts a king-bed family room that can accommodate up to 4 adults, making it an ideal choice for families. The suite features an open-concept closet with shelving and a few drawers, a minifridge stocked with complimentary snacks like chips, nuts, and wafers, and a coffee maker with espresso pods adjacent to the snacks.

Behind the king bed, there's a bathroom with the suite's shower and a marble-tiled sink. Interestingly, the bathrooms in the suite are oddly configured, with one having a bathtub and a toilet and bidet, while the other has a shower but no toilet. Additional toiletry kits, such as a dentistry and shaving kit, are provided in both bathrooms.

The hotel offers benefits to World of Hyatt Globalist members, including complimentary breakfast, access to the club lounge, and a complimentary drink at the rooftop bar and restaurant, Terrazza Borghese, which offers a curated seasonal menu with stunning views over Villa Borghese. Room service is also available for guests who prefer to dine in their rooms.

The Tribune charges 23,000 points per night during peak season in the World of Hyatt program. The World of Hyatt Credit Card was used to pay for the stay at The Tribune. The club lounge serves breakfast from 7 to 10:30 a.m., with a wide variety of foods and beverages, and is open for light snacks and beverages from 2:30 to 6 p.m.

The hotel's fitness room, open 24 hours a day, has enough equipment to work up a sweat, though it is not exceptionally spacious. The staff at The Tribune was consistently kind and efficient throughout the stay.

For those interested in family-friendly accommodations within the Hyatt chain, properties like The Guardian Hotel and The Glam Hotel provide well-sized family rooms with amenities catering to families visiting Rome. These hotels offer rooms with king-size or twin beds plus extra sleeping arrangements, designed for comfort and convenience for families of 3-4 people.

However, specifics vary by property, so checking current Hyatt offerings for Rome on the official Hyatt website will give the most accurate details on family rooms, suites, and amenities. The Tribune itself is not listed in Hyatt hotels, so it cannot be directly compared within that chain.

Regardless, The Tribune is a fantastic choice for families seeking a comfortable and convenient base in Rome. Its unique features, combined with its excellent location and attentive staff, make it one of Rome's best-kept secrets for World of Hyatt members.
