Eifel's Krewelshof Farm Blooms With 400 Tulip Varieties This Spring
The tulip season has begun in the Eifel region, with Krewelshof in Mechernich once again hosting its vibrant display. Nearly 250,000 bulbs were planted last autumn, and now the first blooms are welcoming visitors. This marks the second year the farm has put on the exhibition, which runs until May 10. Krewelshof Eifel has transformed its fields into a sea of colour, featuring 400 different tulip varieties across two locations. Some patches are already in full flower, while others still await warmer spring weather. Visitors can stroll directly among the tulip beds, taking photos as they go.
The farm has also added creative installations to enhance the experience. For those wanting a quieter visit, private photography sessions are available outside regular hours. A smaller version of the show is also running at Krewelshof's site in Lohmar. Junior manager Bibiane Bieger hopes more flowers will open soon if Easter brings better conditions. The team planted the bulbs months ago, preparing for what has now become a popular annual event.
The exhibition will close on May 10, giving visitors a few more weeks to enjoy the blooms. With hundreds of varieties on display, the farm continues to draw crowds to the Eifel region. This year's show builds on last season's success, offering both returning and new attractions.
