Under the proposed draft, citizens of countries such as the US, UK, Germany, France, Japan, South Korea, Canada, Australia, and UAE will be able to enter Kazakhstan without a visa for up to 30 days per visit, with a maximum of 90 days in a 180-day period. However, the stay in Kazakhstan without a visa is not unlimited. According to the draft, the stay should not exceed 30 calendar days from the moment of crossing the state border, unless specified for certain countries like Iran, India, and Turkey. The Islamic Republic of Iran and India can stay in Kazakhstan without a visa for up to 14 calendar days and a total of 42 calendar days within each 180-day period. Turkish citizens, on the other hand, can enter and stay in Kazakhstan without a visa for up to 90 days within any 180 days, reflecting close economic and diplomatic ties between the two nations.
The expansion of visa-free access is not a new development for Kazakhstan. As of July 2025, Kazakhstan passport holders can travel visa-free to a total of 79 countries, including Albania, Argentina, Armenia, Azerbaijan, Brazil, China, Colombia, Georgia, Malaysia, Mongolia, Morocco, Russia, Serbia, Turkey, Ukraine, United Arab Emirates, Uzbekistan, and Vietnam, among others.
