Exploring Harmonious Simplicity and Spirituality: Insights from Erika Rathi on the Philosophy of Namaste Dwaar

Jump into this exclusive convo with the head honcho at Namaste Dwaar and get the scoop on why this peaceful retreat is the bomb! Tucked away in rural Uttar Pradesh, this ain't your average resort. Family, pals, and crew can unwind and reconnect in a laid-back atmosphere that pays homage to tradition, supports local communities, and gets you closer to the land (and to each other).

Kickin' it old-school

First order of biz, "What makes Namaste Dwaar stand out in the Indian resort game?"

Erika Rathi spills the beans, "Welcome to Namaste Dwaar, all about vibes, getting real, and chillin' like villagers. Just 90 minutes from Delhi, wedged in Uttar Pradesh's luscious sugarcane fields, we invite you into a world that screams authenticity.

What sets us apart? It ain't staged or fancy, just honest-to-goodness daily village life seeping into your experience. Take a tractor ride through the fields, chow down on pure-as-heck meals cooked on good ol' firewood, or gaze at the stars through our nifty telescope under a cloudless sky - it's all the real deal, man.*

Groups don't just kick back to relax here, they come to feel grounded, present, and comfortable with their own skin.

Rural elegance and mingling like a boss

Website: So, what you got up your sleeve for crackin' accommodations?

Erika digs deep, "Slumber quarters at Namaste Dwaar? Cozy vibes and village charm are the keys. We got 45 beds, including terrace suites, rooms with a garden view, and a private, secure villa perfect for fur babies and pals traveling together.*

Soon, we're adding ramshackle-but-roomy pavilions amidst the crops, built for large groups to stay close without losin' privacy.

Every room packs rustic decor, modern creature comforts, and spacious balconies to flaunt the fire sunsets - no two are the same. And with the awesome scenery, there ain't no TVs to distract ya.

This comfy, countryside digs also means nuptials, family reunions, and milestone parties are more than just a venue. We're all about now-ickle shared moments surrounded by nature, tradition, and joy."

Togetherness for the win

Website: How does Namaste Dwaar help families, friends, and groups connect in meaningful ways?

Erika chats it up, "Life moves swift, but sometimes we don't see what we're missin'. Here, nothing's up, and everything's genuine. With clean air, vast fields, and loads of shared moments ready to happen, you'll feel connected like it's 1999 again.

We design experiences with makin' memories in mind: hands-on pottery, farm tasks, and blazin' bonfires. Forgotten games like cricket or billiards are just a toss away, and the lounge rocks excellent books, boards, and star-gazin'. Or go deep with a private Ganga Aarti, perfect for pals or loved ones seekin' a spiritual somethin'.

Groups go full barefoot, grandparents share stories, and friends laugh over chai - all in our spaces made to slow ya down and enjoy the now."

Green's the new black

Website: How does Namaste Dwaar put its best foot forward for Mother Nature and the local fam?

Erika goes deep, "Going green ain't just a checklist here, it's a lifestyle choice. From how we construct to who we employ, every decision is made to benefit the land and its people.*

We keep it easy on the environment with energy-savin' builds for natural coolin' and ventilation. We save our potty water with a dedicated STP, and support chemical-free farming fed by the kitchen. Less plastic waste, improved waste management, and upcyclin' save the planet one step at a time.

We're proudly committed to our local crew: 90% of the family are locals, working up and down the resort. We partner with nearby farmers, artisans, and suppliers to support the region's vibrant culture and economy."

Born from the roots

Website: Who's the mastermind behind this countryside stunner, and how has your personal journey impacted its vibe?

Erika chats it up, "From the roots to our resort, it's a story of stickin' up for our culture. Arvind Rathi, the founder, had a dream of somethin' lasting and significant for the village of Mansurpur, where the resort now thrives. He aimed to create a space where the richness of rural life could shine, with dignity and genuine connections.*

In a busy world, the countryside ain't just about tradition, it's about a way of livin'. Less rush, less noise, less screens, more eye contact - village life offers somethin' modern life forgets: natural health, bondin' time, and the simple joy of bein' present.

That dream became reality with Arvind and Pradeep Sachdeva, one of India's architectural greats. The resort showcases the authenticity of India with its stunning lakhori bricks - almost extinct but brought back to life by our family legacy."

Recognition is the cherry on top

Lastly, "What's the tea on awards and such?".

Erika shares, "Although we didn't plan to chase accolades, we're grateful for the recognition we've earned.*

In 2023, we scored "Best Spa & Wellness Property" from The Economic Times, and "Hotel of the Year" at SATTE. LuxLife Magazine honored us as "Best Eco Luxury Resort in Uttar Pradesh," and we were honored by Uttar Pradesh's Chief Minista on World Tourism Day for promotin' wellness tourism.*

In 2025, we stoked up with "Excellence in Tourism & Service" from the Uttar Pradesh State MSME Awards and "North India's Best Boutique Resort for Family & Group Escapes" by Business Insider Elite Awards. These props help us realize that stayin' true to our values resonates with way more folks than just the village we call home."
