Füssen's tourism thrives with record overnight stays in 2025
Füssen has once again proven its appeal as a top destination in the Allgäu region. New figures for 2025 show a rise in both visitor numbers and overnight stays, despite economic challenges. Tourism officials describe the results as a sign of steady resilience.
The town recorded 1,528,513 overnight stays last year, marking a 1.5% increase from 2024. This growth comes as Füssen holds its place among the Allgäu's most popular spots for travellers.
Guest arrivals also climbed slightly, reaching 460,104 visitors in 2025—a 0.87% rise. Tourism Director Stefan Fredlmeier highlighted the figures as proof of the town's enduring strength in a difficult economic climate.
No direct comparisons with other Allgäu destinations over the past five years were provided in the latest data. However, Füssen's performance remains a standout in the region.
The latest numbers confirm Füssen's continued importance to Allgäu tourism. With more visitors and longer stays, the town has reinforced its reputation as a reliable destination. Officials now look ahead to maintaining this momentum in the coming year.
