Geisweid Celebrates World Children's Day with Vibrant Festival

Geisweid celebrated World Children's Day with a vibrant festival around the Kloawender Garden. The event, organised by multiple local institutions, brought together children and families for a day of fun, creativity, and community building.

The festival kicked off with an interactive dance session led by dance pedagogue Sonja Ising. This energetic start set the tone for the day's activities. The stage then came alive with a captivating performance by magician 'Zabula', followed by a delightful melody from the children's orchestra 'Jektis'.

Spread throughout the garden were interactive and creative stations designed to engage young minds. Children and families could let their imaginations run wild at the painting stations, or test their luck at the wheel of fortune. Other highlights included a mobile soccer field, a bouncy castle for endless jumping fun, the Bookbike for storytime on the go, and glitter tattoos for a touch of sparkle.

The festival, organised by the Children's and Youth Center Geisweid, the Siegen Family Office, the Children's and Youth Office of the City of Siegen, and the Evangelical Friedenshort, was more than just a day of entertainment. It fostered a sense of community and togetherness among the residents of Geisweid, creating lasting memories for children and families alike.
