Gourmet Rallo Moves from Mainz to Budenheim: Opening Date Confirmed

Rallo Delicatessen is moving from Mainz-Mombach to Budenheim, bringing Italian gourmet specialities to a new location. The current store will close by the end of 2025, with the grand opening of the new branch set for January 17, 2026. Owner Gianluca Rallo aims to focus entirely on high-quality Italian products at the expanded site.

The new store will first open in a modular building at Am Kalkwerk 2. This temporary setup will serve customers until the permanent location is ready. By late 2027, the final building is expected to be completed as part of a larger mixed-use development.

The project includes 372 residential units alongside commercial spaces, offering a mix of living and shopping. Budenheim’s mayor, Stephan Hinz, has welcomed the arrival of Rallo’s specialty store, calling it a valuable addition to the local retail scene. Rallo Delicatessen has built a reputation for authentic Italian flavours. The move to Budenheim reflects the business’s growth and commitment to sharing Italian culinary traditions with the region.

The grand opening in January 2026 will mark the start of a new chapter for Rallo Delicatessen. Customers can expect a wider range of gourmet products once the permanent location is finished. The relocation also strengthens Budenheim’s appeal as a destination for food lovers.
