An international jury of 16 members selected the top images, judging them anonymously to ensure fairness. This year's competition saw a record number of entries from both amateur and professional photographers. To maintain integrity, organisers required finalists to provide RAW files and original captures, eliminating the risk of AI-generated images.
Athanasios Maloukos from Greece took the top prize with a striking photograph of an Easter procession in Zamora, Spain, captured during Easter 2025. The winning image stood out among thousands, earning him the title of Travel Photographer of the Year.
