Hanau's 42nd Brothers Grimm Festival Kicks Off May 8, 2026
Hanau's 42nd Brothers Grimm Festival is set to commence on May 8, 2026. Before then, the city invites visitors to enjoy a variety of cultural events and shopping opportunities, especially during Bavaria and Baden-Württemberg's public holidays.
Kicking off the festivities, Carolin Fischer presents 'The Pension of the Swabian Maiden' at Café Amadeo on October 30, 2025, at 8 PM. For families and teens, an escape room at St. Mary’s Church is open from October 31 to November 2, 2025. Forum Hanau hosts a trick-or-treat event for children on October 31, 2025.
The night watchman tour in Steinheim's old town takes place on October 31, 2025, starting at 6:30 PM. Visitors can also explore the 'arbeitskreis hanauer lichtbildner' photography exhibition at Neustadt Town Hall from October 30 to November 9. Hanau boasts over 400 shops and dining establishments for visitors to enjoy.
Advance tickets for the 42nd Brothers Grimm Festival Hanau go on sale on November 1, 2025. Tickets for the musical 'Table, Be Set!', the family play 'Snow White', 'The Emperor’s New Clothes', and 'Amadeus' can be booked starting this Saturday.
