HSBC Premier Credit Card relaunches with fee-free travel perks and 50% more rewards

HSBC UK has relaunched its Premier Credit Card with improved travel rewards and lifestyle benefits. The updated version replaces the previous HSBC Premier World Elite card, now offering a fee-free option for eligible customers.

A new study, Where Everyday Spending Can Take You, highlights how typical spending can translate into real travel opportunities under the enhanced programme.

The refreshed card provides 50% more reward points on every pound spent. New cardholders also receive a 20,000-point welcome bonus, worth around £100 in Avios air miles or a European city break.

Eligible Premier customers no longer face the £290 annual fee that came with the old World Elite card. Those spending between £50,000 and £100,000 a year could earn enough points for a trip to New York. Meanwhile, customers spending around £24,000 annually might accumulate sufficient points for a European getaway.

High-spending Premier customers (£100,000+) can now generate enough annual points for premium cabin upgrades or long-haul flights. The card has also added Air India as a new airline mile partner, expanding redemption options across Europe, Asia, and North America.

Existing perks remain, including free annual worldwide travel insurance through the Premier bank account. Cardholders still access exclusive partner offers, such as discounts with Expedia and benefits at Hawksmoor and The Ivy restaurants.

The relaunched card removes the previous annual fee while increasing reward rates and adding new travel partners. Premier customers can now convert spending into flights, upgrades, and other travel benefits more easily than before. The changes apply immediately to both new and existing eligible cardholders.
