IBPC Dubai Strengthens Indo-UAE Economic Ties with New Initiatives for 2026
The Indian Business and Professional Council Dubai (IBPC Dubai) has reaffirmed its role as a leading force in Indo-UAE economic ties. At its latest Annual General Meeting, the organisation announced new initiatives, leadership renewals, and plans for major business events in 2026.
The meeting also highlighted a surge in membership and a push for greater inclusivity, particularly among women professionals across key industries.
Chairman Siddharth Balachandran opened the session by stressing the long-standing partnership between India and the UAE. He described IBPC Dubai as a vital platform for driving shared economic growth and prosperity.
The Council reported a notable increase in membership over the past year. A deliberate shift toward inclusivity was also announced, with more women now actively participating in sectors like health, finance, and technology. Dr Sahitya Chaturvedi was reappointed as Secretary General for a second term. This decision ensures continuity in executing strategic projects and maintaining stability within the organisation. Over the last twelve months, IBPC Dubai has prioritised technology, renewable energy, and logistics. Initiatives like the *India-UAE CEO Forum* and trade missions have focused on AI, green hydrogen, and supply chain collaboration to boost bilateral trade. New Focus Group Convenors were appointed across six critical sectors: health, finance, technology, real estate, energy, and tourism. Their role will be to strengthen sector-specific engagement between the two nations. Looking ahead, IBPC Dubai revealed plans for two major events in 2026. The *West Asia Business Conclave* will take place in April, followed by the *Family Business Conference* in May. Both gatherings aim to enhance cross-border partnerships and institutional dialogue across the region.
The Annual General Meeting underscored IBPC Dubai's commitment to deepening economic ties between India and the UAE. With expanded membership, renewed leadership, and upcoming high-profile events, the Council is set to further strengthen bilateral collaboration.
The focus on technology, sustainability, and inclusivity reflects the organisation's evolving role in shaping regional business growth.
