Expanded Flight Offerings to Antalya, Turkey from Dresden Airport

Good news for travelers looking to jet off to the sunny shores of Antalya, Turkey from Dresden Airport! The number of flights to this popular destination is set to increase, with additional providers joining the roster.

Starting from September 16, SunExpress will fly twice weekly from Dresden Airport to Turkey. This expansion marks a significant increase compared to the previous daily service level, as the airline aims to boost connectivity between Germany, Austria, Switzerland, and Turkey.

Joining SunExpress is Turkish Southwind Airlines, which will connect Dresden with Antalya, Turkey three times a week starting September 29. For the first time, these airlines will offer flights to Antalya from Dresden, adding to the existing routes served by other providers.

In total, there will be up to 22 flights to Turkey per week from Dresden Airport, making it easier than ever for travelers to plan their trips. Antalya, Turkey, has long been a favorite destination for travelers departing from Dresden Airport, and recent months have seen a surge in demand.

Dresden Airport had approximately 600,000 passengers in recent months, an increase of around 13% compared to 2022. The popularity of Antalya as a destination is evident, as it continues to attract travelers from Dresden.

According to airport spokesperson Uwe Schuhhart, "Turkey is in high demand, and we are excited to offer more flight options to our passengers. With the addition of SunExpress and Turkish Southwind Airlines, we are confident that we can meet the growing demand for flights to Antalya."

The increased flights to Turkey from Dresden Airport do not include any new destinations beyond Antalya and the unspecified location for SunExpress. However, SunExpress has plans to expand its network to multiple Turkish Riviera destinations, including Antalya, Izmir, Bodrum, and Dalaman.

The additional flights from Dresden Airport to Antalya, Turkey will start from Saturday and continue until the end of September. Flight details, including specific days of the week for each airline's flights, have not been released yet.

Antalya Airport, a major international airport on Turkey’s Mediterranean coast, is heavily frequented during the European summer leisure season and served by multiple terminals. With the increased number of flights from Dresden, travelers can expect a smooth journey to this popular destination.
