Kazakhstan Media Contest Honours Global Journalists in 11th Edition

The 11th edition of 'Kazakhstan Through the Eyes of Foreign Media' competition concluded recently, honouring exceptional international journalists. Despite unavailable details on this year's participants, the contest continues to grow, attracting over 100 journalists from more than 30 countries.

Since its inception in 2014, the contest has evolved into a respected global platform. Deputy Foreign Minister Arman Issetov praised its role in promoting Kazakhstan's culture and development. Last year's winners included Muhammad Ali Pasha (Pakistan) for digitalization, Derya Soysal (Belgium) for economy, Akpanbetova Arukhan (Uzbekistan) for culture and history, Matthew Fitzgerald (United States) for sports, and Marianna Mkrtchian (Armenia) for tourism.

This year's winners' articles showcased Kazakhstan's diversity and potential. Matthew Fitzgerald's winning piece highlighted the country's growing investment in tennis, while Marianna Mkrtchian's article explored Burabay National Park. Muhammad Ali Pasha's work delved into Kazakhstan's digital transformation.

The contest, now in its 11th year, continues to recognise international journalists whose work promotes Kazakhstan's culture, economy, and modern development to global audiences. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs hosted an award ceremony to mark the occasion, celebrating the winners' contributions to cultural exchange and understanding.
