Khabarovsk’s New Year festivities blend chocolate workshops and ancient petroglyphs

Khabarovsk is offering a busy schedule of events for the New Year’s holiday as part of the Vacation in the Region project. Visitors and locals can enjoy everything from cultural excursions to food tours on January 10. Discounts and unique experiences, including a chance to win 3 million rubles, are also available.

One of the highlights is a gastronomic tour called Weekend Breakfast with the Aroma of the Far East. Participants will take part in a jam-making masterclass and coffee tastings. Meanwhile, a chocolate workshop, Lotus of Komarov in Chocolate, will let visitors craft their own sweet treats.

For those interested in history and culture, a guided tour of the Seven Wonders of Khabarovsk Krai Square is open to ages six and up. Another excursion heads to Sikachi-Alyan village, where guests can explore ancient petroglyphs and make a traditional Nanai talisman. A promo code, 'MinTur', offers a discount for this trip. The visit also enters participants into the All-Russia Contest The Far East: Land of Adventure, with a top prize of 3 million rubles. The AmurFest.Winter fair and festival continues until January 11, showcasing handmade Christmas ornaments and local souvenirs. The Vacation in the Region project is supported by partners including the Federal Employment Agency, the Chambers of Industry and Commerce, the Chambers of Crafts, and regional businesses. Their collaboration aims to promote local job opportunities and boost the regional labour market.

The events on January 10 provide a mix of food, culture, and entertainment for all ages. With discounts, contests, and accessible performances, the programme ensures a lively start to the new year. The fair and festival will run through January 11, giving visitors extra time to explore local crafts and traditions.
