Kobe Beef Association Celebrates Luxury and Tradition at Chicago’s RPM Steakhouse

The Kobe Beef Association held its Annual Meeting dinner at RPM Steakhouse in Chicago on September 13, 2025. The main event celebrated certified Kobe beef, known globally as the most luxurious beef available. Guests experienced a blend of tradition and culinary excellence during the evening.

The dinner featured a five-course menu curated by Chef Bob of RPM Steakhouse. Each dish highlighted the unique flavour and tender texture of authentic Kobe beef. A live carving demonstration by Kimono Butcher Marika further showcased the precision and cultural heritage behind its preparation.

Masashi Mizobuchi, Consul-General of Japan in Chicago, attended the gathering. He stressed the importance of culinary diplomacy in strengthening international ties. The event also underscored the Kobe Beef Association’s strict certification standards, which ensure quality and support traditional farming methods.

Sponsored by TREX of Japan, the meeting demonstrated collaboration between Japanese producers and American culinary institutions. The annual gathering reinforced the value of cultural authenticity in global food markets, positioning Kobe beef as a symbol of craftsmanship and cross-continental exchange.
