Limitless Telepresence Launches Public Moon Exploration Project
Limitless Telepresence has announced an innovative project to engage the public with lunar exploration. Starting November 1, 2025, reservations for operational time on the Moon will be accepted, with slots priced at $25,000 for 10 hours and $2,500 for 1 hour. This groundbreaking initiative aims to foster interest in telepresence and its potential impact.
The project will kick off with a lunar rover design contest, streamed globally via telepresence. Participants will have the opportunity to test their designs on a lunar diorama and ensure they're space-rated. Additionally, a subscription service will offer remote lunar rover training and up to 15 minutes of lunar rover drivetime per month.
In 2028, the top ten winning rovers will be sent to the Moon for global viewing and driving by 24,000 people. Limitless Telepresence is collaborating with universities and industry to expand lunar telepresence concepts. The project's websites are www.LimitlessTelepresence.com and www.MindsToSpace.com.
Both the contest and reserved blocks will be open to individuals, schools, industry, and government agencies. The first project, starting in 2026, involves creating a lunar diorama studio with changing lunar terrain models. Live streaming from the diorama and rover point of view will be available 24/7 globally at no charge.
Limitless Telepresence' lunar operational time reservations and rover design contest offer unprecedented opportunities for public engagement in space exploration. By 2028, the winning rovers will provide a unique global viewing and driving experience on the Moon, further advancing telepresence technology and interest.
