London’s Iconic Duck Tours Return with All-Electric Fleet on the Thames
Duck Tours are set to make a splash on the River Thames once again, eight years after their previous run ended. The iconic amphibious tours will relaunch in London, thanks to a long-term lease secured by London Amphibious Tours and Seahorse from the Duchy of Cornwall.
The new tours, in partnership with Big Bus Tours, will feature all-electric vehicles, a first for the amphibious tour industry. These innovative vehicles have been developed by Seahorse Amphibious Vehicles, the sister company of London Amphibious Tours, after a decade of research and development.
The attraction will operate from Lack's Dock slipway, next to the MI6 building. Graham Lumley, executive chair of London Amphibious Tours and Seahorse, expressed excitement about the new partnership with Big Bus Tours, stating that the tours will become an iconic part of the London tourism scene once again. Each vehicle is expected to seat up to 36 people.
The official return date for the Duck Tours on the River Thames is yet to be announced. However, the tours are set to take off from Lack's Dock slipway, offering visitors a unique perspective of London from both land and water. With the backing of Big Bus Tours and the innovative all-electric vehicles, the future of Duck Tours in London looks promising.
