Magadan Region gears up for 2026 summer with 10,000 children's programmes

The Magadan Region is preparing for a busy summer in 2026, with thousands of children set to take part in health and recreation programmes. Over 10,000 young residents will attend camps, resorts, and leading children’s centres across Russia as part of the regional government’s initiative. The summer activities will kick off on June 16, 2026, with 72 institutions—including rural camps and school-based sites—hosting the programmes. Among the highlights is the reopening of the renovated Talaya sanatorium, scheduled for the same month.

In total, 1,482 children from Kolyma will visit health resorts outside Magadan. Another 250 spots have been reserved for Magadan’s youngsters at prestigious national centres like *Artek*, *Orlyonok*, *Okean*, and *Smena*. Officials confirm that staffing for all summer programmes has been fully secured. The initiative is supported by regional authorities, including Governor Sergei Nosov and Deputy Speaker Victoria Golubeva, who oversees the *Strong Family* party project in the area.

The 2026 summer programmes will offer recreation and health benefits to thousands of children in the Magadan Region. With camps, sanatoriums, and national centres all involved, the government’s planning ensures broad access to organised activities for young residents.
