The parade echoed a tradition from 1845, when Sultan Muhammad II used elephants to carry a royal letter from the King of Siam. This time, elephants from the Kuala Gandah Elephant Sanctuary took part, trained to manage and relocate wild herds. Their presence symbolised both heritage and environmental conservation efforts.

The parade concluded with elephants on display at Istana Balai Besar, allowing the public to admire them up close. By blending history with modern environmental conservation, the event highlighted Kelantan’s deep connection to its royal past. Organisers and visitors alike celebrated the occasion as a rare moment of cultural pride.
