Major track upgrades to disrupt Hanover train services in late 2025
Major track renewal work will disrupt train services between Hanover and surrounding areas from late November to mid-December 2025. The upgrades, planned by DB InfraGO AG and Üstra, will affect key regional routes and require temporary timetable changes.
From November 29 to December 12, 2025, half-hourly services on the RE 60 and RE 70 lines will be suspended. This includes routes between Braunschweig and Hanover, as well as Minden and Hanover. Some hourly trains will remain in operation but may run on adjusted schedules or make additional stops.
The track renewal work will temporarily reduce service frequency on key routes. Passengers are advised to verify their travel plans in advance and allow extra time for their journeys. Updated schedules will be provided online throughout the disruption period.
