Marriott's Autograph Collection Debuts in Serengeti with Luxury Safari Camp
Marriott's Autograph Collection is set to make its debut in the Serengeti with the Mapito Safari Camp, opening in September 2025. Positioned near the Fort Ikoma gate, it will offer a prime location along the Great Migration route.
The camp, a collaboration between Marriott and the Mapito Group, will boast 16 tented suites, including a 2-bedroom villa. Each suite will come with an outdoor deck, a fire pit, and a retractable roof for stargazing. Guests can expect a range of amenities such as a spa, a fitness center, a swimming pool, and multiple dining options.
Rates start at $891 per night for single occupancy and $1,425 for double occupancy in October. Alternatively, guests can use points, with stays for two people costing upwards of 145,600 points per night. The camp promises an array of activities, including daytime game drives, hot air balloon flights, bush dining, and cultural experiences with a local tribe.
Mapito Safari Camp, Serengeti, Autograph Collection, is Marriott's first safari camp in Africa and part of the company's expansion plans, which include the JW Marriott Mount Kenya Rhino Reserve Safari Camp and the JW Marriott Serengeti Lodge in 2026. The camp is poised to offer a unique and luxurious safari experience in one of the world's most iconic wildlife destinations.
