His journey includes stops in the UK, Japan, and a shift from testing to project management. Along the way, he has embraced global collaboration and professional growth within the company’s diverse work culture.

Kandala began his professional life in IT, working with various clients across different roles. In 2014, he relocated to the UK, where he took on a position as a Test Engineer for the Market Management System (MMS) project.

Four years later, he joined Hitachi Energy India, continuing his focus on testing. By 2022, the company transferred him to Japan, initially as Test Manager for the MMS project development in Japan’s balancing market. There, he refined his ability to plan meticulously and foresee risks, while also adopting a stricter approach to verification. To advance his career, Kandala earned a PMI certification, equipping him with stronger leadership and decision-making skills. His leadership style emphasises an open team environment, where members take ownership of their tasks and develop professionally. Hitachi Energy supports such career progression through its global opportunities and commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion. The company’s culture encourages continuous learning and cross-border collaboration, aligning with Kandala’s own approach to work and team development.

Kandala’s path from IT specialist to international project manager reflects Hitachi Energy’s focus on mobility and skill development. His experience across India, the UK, and Japan demonstrates how the company’s global structure enables employees to grow into leadership roles.
