Construction work causes delays on RB26 - Middle Rhine Railway disrupts late-night and early travel in Cologne this February

Passengers using the Middle Rhine Railway (RB26) will face changes to their journeys on February 17 and 18. Some late-night and early morning trains will skip stops at Cologne/Bonn Airport and Cologne Messe/Deutz due to planned construction work.

The disruptions will affect selected services on the RB26 line. Trains arriving from Bonn will terminate at Cologne Messe/Deutz instead of continuing to their usual stops. During the night of February 17 and the early hours of February 18, certain trains will run through without stopping at Köln/Bonn Flughafen and Köln Messe/Deutz, likely travelling between Bonn and Koblenz.

Deutsche Bahn has advised travellers to check the updated timetable before setting off. Those heading to Cologne/Bonn Airport or Cologne Messe/Deutz should plan extra time and consider alternative public transport where needed.

The changes apply only to specific late-night and early morning services on the RB26 line. Passengers are urged to verify their train times in advance to avoid delays. Alternative transport options will be available for those affected by the skipped stops.
