Mondrian Maldives to Debut in 2026 with 105 Luxury Pool Villas
Ennismore has unveiled plans for Mondrian Maldives, a new luxury resort set to open in 2026. Located on Kuredhivaru Island in the Noonu Atoll, the property will replace the existing Kuredhivaru Resort & Spa. The redesign will introduce 105 private pool villas alongside immersive cultural experiences inspired by local traditions.
The resort will take over the site of the former Mövenpick Kuredhivaru Resort & Spa. Before its full rebranding, it will operate temporarily as Kuredhivaru Resort & Spa under Ennismore’s management. During this transition, guests can still earn and redeem points through Accor’s ALL loyalty programme.
The new Mondrian Maldives will feature an all-pool villa setup, including beach and overwater options, as well as three-bedroom beach residences. Facilities will cover four restaurants, a spa, a diving centre, and sports courts for tennis and volleyball. A yoga pavilion and a children’s club will also be available.
Situated in the Noonu Atoll, the resort offers easy access to untouched reefs and prime diving spots. The location is just 45 minutes by seaplane from Malé International Airport. Mondrian’s design will blend modern luxury with Maldivian culture, reflecting the brand’s focus on cultural connectivity.
This project is part of Mondrian’s broader expansion, with future openings planned in Abu Dhabi, Tulum, Dubai, and Australia’s Gold Coast. The phased transformation ensures the resort remains operational while upgrades are implemented.
Mondrian Maldives will launch in 2026 with 105 villas, private pools, and a range of leisure facilities. The resort’s design and programming will highlight local culture while maintaining the brand’s global standards. Guests can expect a mix of relaxation, adventure, and cultural immersion upon opening.
