Sebastian Haug, a newly elected state parliament member for Solingen I, has taken on key roles in three North Rhine-Westphalia committees. His appointments include full membership in the Legal Affairs, Labour, Health, and Social Affairs, as well as Culture and Media committees. The assignments align with his professional background and long-standing local experience.

Haug's legal career spans many years, making the Legal Affairs Committee a natural fit. His expertise in this area will guide his contributions as a full member during the current legislative term.

In the Labour, Health, and Social Affairs Committee, he will tackle pressing issues facing Solingen's two remaining hospitals: Municipal Hospital Solingen and Bethanien Hospital. This work will begin after the parliamentary summer recess. Cultural policy has been another focus for Haug, who brings 13 years of experience in Solingen's cultural sector. For two of those years, he chaired the city's cultural committee. Now, as a full member of the Committee on Culture and Media, he aims to support a vibrant cultural scene across North Rhine-Westphalia. Beyond committee work, Haug serves as chair of Solingen's CDU district branch. His roles in both local and state politics reflect his deep ties to the region.

Haug's committee appointments will take effect once the summer recess ends. His legal knowledge, healthcare advocacy, and cultural policy experience will shape his contributions in Düsseldorf. The work ahead includes addressing hospital concerns and promoting cultural initiatives in Solingen and beyond.
