Nicaragua Courts Kuwaiti Tourists and Investors with Visa-Free Entry and Direct Flights
Nicaragua, renowned for its safety, stability, and affordable living costs, is actively promoting itself as a family-friendly destination. With no visa required for GCC citizens, including Kuwaitis, and a surge in Kuwaiti tourists, the country is set to become more accessible with direct flights in the works.
Nicaragua's diverse natural landscapes and adventure opportunities have attracted Kuwaiti visitors. The country's Ambassador to Kuwait, H.E Mohamed M. Farara Lashtar, notes growing interest among Kuwaiti citizens in exploring Latin American destinations, with Nicaragua leading the way.
To facilitate this interest, preliminary talks are underway with airlines to establish direct flights between Kuwait and Nicaragua. Additionally, Nicaragua is constructing a new international airport in partnership with a Chinese firm. Expected to be operational by 2027, it will serve as a global air hub, connecting the Americas, Europe, Asia, and Africa, and handling the world's largest aircraft.
Nicaragua offers exceptional investment incentives, including up to 20 years of tax exemptions in various sectors. While there's no public evidence of Kuwaiti companies investing in Nicaragua's tourism sector yet, the country's efforts to boost tourism and investment are evident.
Nicaragua's safety, affordability, and diverse attractions are drawing Kuwaiti tourists and investors. With visa-free entry, direct flights in the pipeline, and a new international airport on the horizon, the country is poised to become a significant player in the global tourism market.
