Nigeria’s South-South region thrives as tourism fuels hotel industry growth

The South-South region of Nigeria is buzzing with tourism activity, drawing both domestic and international visitors to cities like Port Harcourt, Calabar, Yenagoa, Uyo, and Warri. This surge in tourism has put the spotlight on the region's hotel industry, with high-profile establishments like Eden Hotels in Eket, Akwa Ibom State, shaping its hospitality scene.

Eden Hotels, operating since 2001 under Eden Hotels Limited, is a prime example of this growth. Located in Eket, the hotel caters to a diverse range of guests, including business travelers, tourists, and visiting professionals. The privately-owned establishment, owned and managed by the Udobia family, strives to meet modern hospitality standards. Dr. Udobia Eduek Benjamin John, a director of the hotel, has played a significant role in its operations. Despite being based in Eket, not Port Harcourt as previously mentioned, Eden Hotels continues to contribute to the region's emerging status as a key destination for hotel, travel, and leisure experiences.

The South-South region's tourism boom is transforming its hotel industry, with Eden Hotels in Eket leading the way. The privately-owned establishment, under the guidance of the Udobia family, particularly Dr. Udobia Eduek Benjamin John, is committed to providing modern hospitality experiences, further cementing the region's appeal as a top travel destination.
