Nizhny Novgorod Kremlin Unveils New Year’s Tour Marathon for All Ages

The Nizhny Novgorod Kremlin is launching a New Year’s tour marathon from January 2 to 11. Visitors can explore the historic site through a variety of guided excursions. Each tour is designed to be engaging for all age groups.

Two main tours will run during the event. The first is a comprehensive bus-and-walking tour, covering the fortress, the historic city centre, and key landmarks. The second offers an in-depth look at the Kremlin itself, focusing on its defensive systems and rich history.

For those interested in lesser-known stories, the 'Kremlin Dungeons' tour takes visitors through underground passages and hidden towers. Another option, 'Feat of National Unity', highlights the region’s heroes from 1612. Group excursions will be available every day throughout the marathon.

The marathon provides multiple ways to experience the Nizhny Novgorod Kremlin. Tours run daily, ensuring visitors can choose between broad city overviews or specialised historical deep dives. Organisers have structured the programme to appeal to families, history enthusiasts, and casual tourists alike.
