NRA Whittington Center Launches 2024 Youth Adventure Camps for Firearm Training

The NRA Whittington Center has opened applications for its 2024 Youth Adventure Camps. These 13-day programmes combine expert firearm training with a wilderness camping experience in New Mexico’s Mule Canyon. Led by NRA instructors and outdoor specialists, the camps attract young participants eager to develop shooting and survival skills. The camps take place on the center’s 33,000-acre grounds, which include 18 firing ranges and diverse wildlife. Each session begins with instruction in shooting disciplines such as long-range rifle, muzzleloading, trap and skeet, pistol, and archery. Campers fire over 1,400 rounds across these activities. The 2024 Youth Adventure Camps will again offer a mix of shooting education and outdoor adventure. Applications are now being accepted for the two summer sessions. Successful participants leave with certifications in firearm safety and wilderness skills.
