Federal authorities apprehend a 39-year-old individual onboard the ICE 153 train journeying from Amsterdam to Frankfurt, under the supervision of the German federal police (BPOL NRW).

Police from the federal level apprehend a 39-year-old male during the ICE 153 train journey, en route from Amsterdam to Frankfurt, on the basis of allegations made by the BPOL NRW.

In a recent development, the German Federal Police have arrested a 39-year-old Czech national on August 5, 2025, in Viersen on Intercity Express 153 due to temporarily reintroduced border controls.

The individual was wanted on a warrant issued by the Public Prosecutor's Office in Wuerzburg for fraudulently obtaining services, resulting in an outstanding fine of 4,200 euros. The incident took place in the cities of Kleve, Kempen, and Viersen.

The Federal Police Directorate Sankt Augustin, along with the Public Prosecutor's Office in Wuerzburg, were involved in the incident. The Federal Police discovered the warrant during a routine border control check on the Intercity Express 153.

The traveler was unable to pay the outstanding fine and was handed over to the prison in Moenchengladbach, following a 30-day custodial sentence that was imposed after completing the police measures.
