Portugal's trains slash fares by 80% in limited-time Promo+ deal
If you've been putting off that weekend getaway because of fuel prices, we have good news. CP - Comboios de Portugal has just launched "Promo+" -a special campaign offering discounts of up to 80% on Alfa Pendular train tickets purchased between April 22 and May 6.
But please note: the promotion is limited to 5,000 seats, in both Comfort and Tourist class, and is valid for travel between May 1 and May 15. Additionally, it is important to note that tickets must be purchased at least ten days in advance.
From Lisbon to Porto for €7.50
If you want a change of scenery or to try an authentic francesinha, the trip between Lisbon and Porto is just €7.50. If you'd rather head to Braga, the price is €8. And there are trips between Lisbon and Faro starting at €5.50.**
However, the promotion is limited to available seats. Therefore, once the 5,000 seats made available for the 'Promo+' campaign are sold out, regular prices will apply again.
To take advantage of these discounts, tickets must be purchased through CP's digital channels, specifically on the official website or via the mobile app.
