Prague Soars as Europe’s Hottest 2026 Destination with New US Flights

Prague has been named Europe’s trendiest destination for 2026 by travel experts at Kayak. The Czech capital, known for its medieval charm and vibrant culture, is also getting easier to reach. Two major US airlines, American Airlines and Delta, will soon launch direct flights from America, making the city more accessible than ever.

Starting 21 May 2026, American Airlines will run daily nonstop flights between Philadelphia (PHL) and Prague (PRG). The service will operate throughout the summer, offering travellers a direct route to the city. Delta will also join in, launching seasonal nonstop flights from New York (JFK) to Prague during the summer months.

Prague’s appeal goes beyond its stunning architecture. The city’s Old Town Square, often called more mesmerising than Paris, hosts some of Europe’s best Christmas markets. Visitors also praise its affordable prices, with beer costing just a few dollars and hearty local dishes served at low prices. Getting around is simple too, thanks to an efficient and budget-friendly public transit system.

Beyond flights, Prague is becoming better connected by rail. High-speed trains now link the city to major European hubs, making it an easy stop on any itinerary. The combination of new flight routes, scenic train journeys, and the city’s mix of history and affordability is drawing more travellers than ever.

With new direct flights from the US and improved rail links, Prague is set to welcome even more visitors in 2026. The city’s blend of fairy-tale streets, cheap beer, and rich culture continues to make it a top pick for travellers. Airlines and transport networks are now making it simpler to experience firsthand.
