Nestled on the outskirts of Aurangabad, the 14-acre luxury farmstay, Dhyaana Farms, offers a unique blend of nature and culture. Opened in February 2023 by Aparna Phalnikar and Sahaj Sharma, the property provides a peaceful escape from the hustle and bustle of city life.

The farm, located in Village Shahjatpur, Tal Khultabad, Near Kasabkheda, Verul, Maharashtra 431102, is just a one-hour drive from Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar. Dhyaana Farms encourages guests to unplug and embrace farm life, with no television sets and spotty Wi-Fi.

The property boasts four farmhouse rooms, each equipped with en-suite bathrooms, walk-in showers, studies, and private patios. The buildings are made of recycled wood and powered by solar energy, making it an off-grid retreat.

One of the standout features at Dhyaana Farms is the Gazebo, a circular space surrounded by a small lake on three sides. Guests can enjoy a high tea experience in a clearing near the property, overlooking the looming Sahyadris.

Dhyaana Farms closes for two months, from mid-April to mid-June, and reopens during the monsoon season. The tariff starts from INR 20,000 per night, and it is recommended that guests stay for at least three nights.

Aurangabad, the city where Dhyaana Farms is located, is a significant cultural city with influences from Buddhist, Hindu, Jain, and Mughal traditions. The city is the gateway to the UNESCO World Heritage Sites of the Ajanta and Ellora caves.

The Ajanta Caves, dating from the 2nd century BC to 600 AD, consist of 26 monasteries and four temples known for their extraordinary Buddhist rock-cut architecture and wall paintings. The Ellora Caves feature 34 rock-hewn temples representing Buddhist, Jain, and Hindu faiths.

Other attractions in Aurangabad include Daulatabad Fort, renowned for its strong fortifications and strategic hilltop location, offering insights into medieval Indian military architecture. Bibi ka Maqbara, often referred to as the "Taj of the Deccan," is a mausoleum built by Aurangzeb’s son in memory of his mother and is a significant historic monument to visit.

For those seeking a tranquil experience close to natural surroundings, Dhyaana Farms offers a peaceful environment for travelers wanting to relax near the Ellora Caves. Activities at the farm include pottery, organic farming, picnics, guided hikes, village explorations, and trips to historical sites such as the Ajanta and Ellora caves, Daulatabad Fort, Bibi ka Maqbara, and the Grishneshwar Temple.

In addition to its farm-to-table philosophy, Dhyaana Farms also offers a cottage with a private garden, private pool, gazebo, and expansive floor-to-ceiling glass windows. Whether you're looking for a cultural exploration or a nature retreat, Dhyaana Farms and Aurangabad provide an unforgettable experience.

At Dhyaana Farms, guests can extend their tranquil experience by exploring nearby attractions, such as the Ajanta and Ellora caves, which are significant cultural and historical sites.
