Russian airlines expand summer routes to Turkey and beyond ahead of peak season
Russian airlines are expanding their domestic and international routes ahead of the summer season. New connections will link cities like Gelendzhik, Krasnodar, and Kemerovo with popular destinations in Turkey and across Russia. The changes come as regional airports prepare to switch to their summer schedules. From late March, Kemerovo and Novokuznetsk airports will adopt their summer timetables. Flights from Kemerovo to Sochi will run four to five times a week, while services to St. Petersburg will operate up to three times weekly.
Red Wings will launch two new routes from Gelendzhik starting April 29. Passengers can fly directly to Samara and Kazan, though details on the airline's broader international network remain limited.
Later in the season, Utair will introduce seasonal flights from Surgut, Tyumen, and Ufa to Gelendzhik. These services will run from June 2 until late September.
Another key addition is Red Wings' direct route between Krasnodar and Bodrum, starting June 6. The weekly flights, operated by Russian-made Sukhoi Superjet 100 aircraft, will continue until October 10. The expanded routes aim to meet rising travel demand for both domestic and international trips. Airlines have scheduled additional frequencies to key tourist spots, with some services running through the peak summer months. The changes coincide with the shift to summer timetables at several regional airports.
