Salimpur’s Flower Festival Blooms With Wild Attractions and Cultural Delights
The country’s largest flower festival has opened at DC Park in Salimpur Sagarpar, Faujdarhat. Running until February 8, the event showcases over 140 types of local and foreign blooms. Visitors can also enjoy a mix of cultural performances, crazy games, and food stalls every evening.
This year’s festival introduces several new attractions. A zip line, climbing tree, and heart-shaped tree installations now sit alongside a giant flower tree and an umbrella-shaped display. Flower tea stalls have also been added for guests to relax and sample drinks.
Beyond flowers, the event features a packed schedule. A month-long rural fair, book festival, and kite-flying competition will take place alongside pitha tastings and laser light shows. Daily cultural programmes, including violin recitals, puppet dances, and a multicultural festival, run from 4:00pm to 8:00pm. VR games and movie screenings provide extra entertainment. A special stall has been set up to raise awareness about the upcoming 13th National Parliament Election and Referendum in 2026. The booth offers information and materials to educate visitors on the voting process.
The festival combines floral displays with a wide range of activities. From traditional crafts to cool math games, it offers something for all ages. The event will remain open to the public until its closing date on February 8.
