Silolona Sojourns Unveils Five New Indonesian Yacht Expeditions for 2026
Silolona Sojourns has introduced five new news routes across Indonesia for 2026. These themed voyages aboard traditional phinisi yachts will last between seven and 14 days. The trips promise immersive experiences, from cultural encounters to marine adventures and rugged landscapes.
Separately, the 'Wonderful – Sail 2 Indonesia Rally' invites sailors from Australia and New Zealand to join a supported journey through the archipelago. The event welcomes all vessels between 9m and 18m, whether travelling in groups or independently.
The new itineraries highlight Indonesia’s rich diversity. A seven-day Komodo Trek Expedition blends diving with guided hikes to spot Komodo dragons and panoramic views from Padar Island’s ridges. For those drawn to tradition, a 10-day voyage through the Savu Sea to Sumba offers ancient ceremonies, visits to ancestral stone graves, and meetings with local weavers.
Adventure seekers can explore the Alor Archipelago over nine days, navigating volcanic peaks, coral-fringed islands, and coastal villages. Dugongs may also be spotted in shallow bays along the route. Meanwhile, a 14-day West Papua expedition includes swimming with whale sharks, encounters with semi-nomadic forest communities, and sailing past the dramatic limestone karsts of Raja Ampat’s Wayag Archipelago.
Marine enthusiasts will find a seven-day Cenderawasih Bay expedition focused on whale shark encounters, coral wall dives, and explorations of World War II plane wrecks. Each voyage is designed to showcase Indonesia’s natural and cultural treasures.
Prices for these trips start at £2,300 per cabin per night, based on double occupancy. Unlike previous charter-only options, individual travellers can now book cabins aboard the Silolona and Si Datu Bua yachts.
The 2026 voyages cater to a range of interests, from wildlife and diving to cultural immersion and adventure. Individual bookings are now available, opening access to smaller groups and solo travellers. The rally and themed expeditions aim to highlight Indonesia’s landscapes, traditions, and marine biodiversity in a structured yet flexible format.
