Supermicro and VAST Data launch AI platform for faster enterprise deployments
Supermicro and VAST Data have unveiled a new AI platform designed for rapid deployment. Called the CNode-X Solution, it combines hardware, software, and GPU acceleration into a single integrated system. The launch took place at the VAST Forward conference in Salt Lake City from February 24 to 26.
The CNode-X Solution merges Supermicro's high-performance AI systems with VAST's software and NVIDIA's accelerated computing. It follows NVIDIA's AI Data Platform reference architecture, ensuring GPU-powered efficiency. Supermicro's in-house design and manufacturing further optimise the system for specific workloads while cutting costs and environmental impact.
Key benefits include pre-validated hardware, a unified software stack, and rack integration services. Enterprises can deploy a full AI solution quickly, speeding up AI factory setups. The platform is particularly suited for tasks like RAG pipelines and generative AI applications.
Market availability will come through OEM partners such as Supermicro, Cisco, HPE, and Lenovo. Early evaluations highlight its efficiency, though no specific companies have adopted it yet. Supermicro, based in San Jose, California, specialises in customisable IT solutions tailored to exact customer needs.
The CNode-X Solution aims to simplify AI infrastructure deployment for businesses. It offers a fully integrated stack with hardware, software, and GPU acceleration in one package. The platform is now entering the market through major technology partners.
