Teen's Biodegradable Plastic Alternative, Nature Plast, Wins Grant and Support
Atyrau's 10th-grader Daria Begaliyeva is making waves with her innovative eco-friendly plastic alternative, Nature Plast. After winning the Jer Eco Hub competition, Daria received a grant of one million tenge (around $2,200) from Tengizchevroil to fund her project.
Daria's Nature Plast is crafted from gelatin and glycerin, offering adjustable density and strength. She has already created prototypes like cardholders, covers, and card stands using her biodegradable material. Dinara Kanbetova, a researcher or expert, has been discussing the development of Nature Plast in the media. Daria believes that biodegradable plastic will play a significant role in the future.
Daria's project is divided into two phases. The first involves research and formula refinement. The second phase will see a small-scale production launch in Atyrau before Daria scales up the project further. Support for Daria's idea is overwhelming, with 130 out of 140 schoolmates surveyed backing her eco-friendly plastic initiative.
Daria Begaliyeva's Nature Plast, a biodegradable plastic alternative, is poised to make a difference. With support from Tengizchevroil and her peers, Daria is set to establish mass production in Atyrau, paving the way for a greener future.
